Interfaith Elderly Outreach Program - Monthly Need

The Interfaith Elderly Outreach Program provides basic services to the elderly in the general area of north Montgomery, Alabama.   Approximately 60 clients are served through this program with help getting to appointments with the doctor, the grocery store, completing government forms and getting medications from clinics and drug stores.   Each week clients are provided a frozen meal through a Frozen Meal Program sponsored by the Montgomery Area Council on Aging.   For most of the senior citizens their monthly social security check does not last from one end of the month to the next.   To help with more than just the basic services, Resurrection Catholic Missions recently added a new component to the program by asking for donations of specific items to help the clients stretch their income.

 

During the month of October we are collecting dry goods such as

rice

sugar

flour

corn meal

oatmeal

etc.
