This week's WSFA Class Act is Mrs. Barbara Hawkins.     She's a first grade teacher at Resurrection Catholic School in Montgomery.

She's been teaching for 27-years and says there's one big reason why she loves her job    "I do it for the love of children, i enjoy working with them, and they give me plenty of energy," Hawkins said.

The parent who nominated Mrs. Hawkins says she gives each student the courage and the confidence to succeed.     "I try to teach them love, respect and compassion for others," Hawkins said.

There's no doubt she keeps them on schedule, and  she keeps track of her students long after they leave this classroom.    "I've been invited to weddings, graduations, even taught their children."

So congratulations Mrs. Barbara Hawkins, you're this  week's Class Act.
