Greetings from Resurrection Catholic School where we are on the move. Our never-ending quest for new heights in academic excellence and spiritual growth is a work in progress. As we evaluate the effectiveness of our present curriculum, I am pleased to announce the success of the first half of the 2008-2009 school year, and enrollment for the 2second half of the 2008-09 school year.

We are excited about the new additions to our present program, and we want to share the "good news" with our present and prospective parents and students. The present educational progress fills us with great enthusiasm, and we wish to share this feeling with the RCS family.

Presently, our experienced faculty/staff and qualified consultants are engaged in an enriched arts program composed of four major facets: public speaking, music (vocal and instrumental), drama and contemporary, liturgical and ethnic dance. As we continue and expand this program, we expect to add other attractive and beneficial components.

During the first semester of this school year, Mr. Clifford Petty, RCS's musician-in-residence, introduced a course designed to familiarize students with the recorder, an elementary instrument. With this experience, students' interest could lead to a desire to master more advanced woodwind instruments. Also our students have been learing music theory.

Futhermore, Mr. Michael McDonald, our new theater and performing arts teacher has expanded our students artistic horizions with orignal play productions and exposure to the performing arts.

It is my fervent hope and prayer that you, after careful consideration, will join forces with the Resurrection Catholic school family as together we work to provide our own students with the caliber of education that they so rightfully deserve.

If there are any questions, suggestions or comments related to our efforts to continue to improve the level of academic and co-curricular offerings, please inform me of your concerns. May we be ever mindful that together with dedication, work and prayer, our loftiest goals and aspirations for our children are possible.

I look forward to seeing you in early January if not before.

Yours in the Risen Christ,

Fr. Fred J Briers, CR
