The Father Walter Memorial Child Care Center is one of only two 24 hour pediatric nursing care facilities in the state of Alabama. Despite their severe challenges our children lead rich lives. Between attending school (classes and dances), friends, bowling, the movies, the zoo, the state fair, church, birthday parties, the prom, and watching cartoons, the schedules they keep are amazing.
Father Walter’s offers medical, dental, nursing, dietetic and other therapeutic care. Our pediatricians are especially skilled in meeting the needs of those special children. Direct care is given by a full range of nursing professionals; registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants. State-of-the-art camera surveillance allows the staff and administration to monitor the safety of the children and respond instantly to any emergency, large or small.
