After a few months of rest and relaxation, the Resurrection Catholic School Eagles returned to their nest – after receiving a little red carpet treatment.

Welcomed by teachers and staff wearing red shirts featuring the school year’s “Rising With The Stars” theme, students in grades Kindergarten through 8th gathered in the school auditorium where Principal Milner extended a personal, heartfelt welcome to both returning and new students. Staff introductions followed, allowing students to scream for and welcome their favorite teachers and the school’s two new additions, Mr. Jackson and Mrs. Johnson-Newton.

Following the welcomes, the Eagles took to the halls of RCS where parents, staff, and supporters clapped, cheered, and encouraged them as they walked – offering blessings, affirmations, and words of kindness to last throughout the weeks and months to come. Afterward, everyone gathered for a word of prayer to bless the 2018-2019 school year – a tradition Principal Milner believes is incredibly important to ensure that students know they are supported and covered in all that they do or hope to do.

We here at Resurrection Catholic Missions of the South, Inc. look forward to another great year with the Resurrection Catholic School Eagles and wish them nothing but success inside and outside of the classroom.
