RESURRECTION HEALTH MINISTRY POLICY

Resurrection Catholic Church and Missions’ Health Ministry Policy has been approved by the Wellness Coalition who helped devise the Policy. This policy will be followed for all events involving food at Resurrection Catholic Church. Health Ministry Policy.

Resurrection Catholic Church has begun a formal Health Ministry program to enhance our physical, spiritual, and mental health.  Please visit this page regularly to see what we have planned!

Healthy recipes and live cooking demonstrations will be aired as well as a variety of exercise classes from chair exercises to full-body workouts.  Health and other professionals will also offer tips on a variety of topics ranging from the importance of wearing sunscreen to how to deal with stress.

Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP)

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is holding a six-week Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP) directed towards persons with diabetes and their relatives who need information on diabetes self-care. The program seeks to empower patients and communities and promote learning as well as progression towards a healthy lifestyle. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes.
