Archdiocese of Mobile

On Sunday, November 16, 2025, pilgrims from the Diocese of Jackson, MS and the Mobile area will journey to Montgomery for continued Black Catholic History Month celebrations, led by Fr. Victor Ingalls, Director for Multicultural Ministry in the Archdiocese of Mobile. Festivities in Montgomery will be held at the historic St. Jude Catholic Church beginning at 3:00 p.m., with the theme “On the Road to Sainthood” highlighting Servant of God, Sr. Thea Bowman, FSPA. Renowned keynote speaker Fr. Tony Ricard from the Archdiocese of New Orleans and several local choirs will participate. Earlier in the day, pilgrims will tour the Legacy Museum and other EJI sites starting at 11:00 a.m. Those interested in joining are encouraged to meet at the entrance to the Legacy Museum just before 11 a.m.

Diocese of Birmingham

The Diocese of Birmingham is hosting a two-day Black Catholic History Month Revival. The event will take place on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at All Saint’s Parish in Anniston, and again on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Bessemer. Featured guest speakers include the Very Rev. Fr. Vernon Huguley, Vicar of Black Catholics for the Diocese of Birmingham and Pastor of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church; Fr. Gerald Holloway, Pastor of Holy Infant of Prague Catholic Church; and Dr. Ansel Augustine, Assistant Director of African American Affairs with the Secretariat of Cultural Diversity for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
