- Jesus calls us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world—images that show how to preserve the distinctiveness of our faith and how to make that faith visible in our actions. Both communicate God’s love. Our main feature on page one outlines ways to live out the call to be salt and light in today’s world.
- We often expect God to work through dramatic signs or unmistakable miracles. Yet His providence frequently unfolds quietly and gradually. See our main feature on page two for details.
- In our Scripture meditation this month (see page two), Jesus tells of a father who asks his two sons to work in his vineyard. Doing the Father’s will is more important than merely professing obedience. Yet, our past does not determine our future. Whenever we turn back to God, He receives us with joy.
