It’s that time of year again! Resurrection Catholic Missions of the South, Inc. is gearing up for a Night of Stars – our 21^st Annual Benefit & Gala – and we invite you to join us on Thursday, November 8, 2018, for a star-studded affair!

Through the years, our Annual Benefit & Gala has been successful because of your continued support and generosity to Resurrection, and we’re confident that this year will be no exception.

Gala ticket holders enjoy entertainment and a specially prepared, themed dinner as well as a chance to bid on beautiful silent auction items and experiences. In 2016, we honored Robert, Anne, and Stephanie Reynolds for their work in Haiti as well as their support of Resurrection. Our 2017 honoree was Willie Williams — a longtime parishioner, local entrepreneur, and supporter of our school.

Past honorees include Audrey Wright, former administrator of Father Walter Memorial Child Care Center; Young J. Boozer, Treasurer of the State of Alabama; Jere Beasley, attorney and former Alabama Lt. Governor; and Percy J. Vaughn, founding dean of the College of Business at Alabama State University. Each recipient was honored with the Veritas et Caritas (Truth and Charity) Award.

In 2018, we will honor FIVE special individuals whose achievements and character mirror the tenets of Resurrection’s enduring programs and ministries. This year’s honorees are Ms. Doris Dozier Crenshaw, Rev. and Mrs. Robert Graetz, Mr. Charlie Hardy, Mr. Nelson Malden, and Mrs. Mary Louise Smith Ware.

This year, there are SIX sponsorship opportunities: Ursa Major ($2,500), Big Dipper ($2,000), Northern Cross ($1,500), Ursa Minor ($1,000), Little Dipper ($500), and Star Gazer ($25 – $499). In appreciation, all sponsor partners will be listed in the Gala program, mentioned on social media, and listed on a banner that will be displayed at the Gala as well as at Resurrection for one year following the Gala.
