Week three of Resurrection Collegiate Volunteer Program is here, and we welcome our next group of students from the Windy City’s DePaul University.

The group is comprised of DePaul staff member Bernard Little, student leader Kathleen Howlett, and participants Jasmine Baseul, Kathleen Fenton, Kayla Johnson, Anna Pierce, Jessica Rosato-Wyan, Allison Terry, and Arun Zachariah.

During their week at Resurrection, the students will perform service work related to each of the Mission’s core programs and will even have the opportunity to attend the Faith In Action Alabama Montgomery Hub Meeting. In their free time, the students will also have the opportunity to visit local historic sites like the Dexter Parsonage Museum and the Civil Rights Memorial Center and to learn more about locally based organizations like the Equal Justice Initiative and the Southern Poverty Law Center.

As always, the immersive week will culminate in a dinner where a panel of local guests will discuss their connections to memorable events and invaluable work in the areas of civil rights and social justice.
