Last Friday, the staff and students of Resurrection Catholic School had the great pleasure of spending a memorable morning with Archbishop Thomas J. Rodi and Superintendent of Catholic schools for the Archdiocese of Mobile Gwen Byrd.

Having traveled all the way from Mobile, both Archbishop Rodi and Superintendent Byrd were welcomed with plenty of warm smiles and waves.

During their time at Resurrection, the Archbishop led Mass and delivered a powerful message about the labels we tend to place on others while Superintendent Byrd expressed her admiration of Resurrection Catholic School’s impressive students and educators.

Following Mass, the visit culminated with a spirited tour of Resurrection Catholic School, which allowed the Eagles to showcase their skills and tell Archbishop Rodi and Superintendent Byrd a little bit about their studies.

Each of us at Resurrection Catholic School and Resurrection Catholic Missions of the South would like to thank Archbishop Rodi and Superintendent Byrd for their time, their kind words, and their blessings. We are already looking forward to their return next year!
